Kurami station
last update 2020.4.18

Sagami Line opened between Chigasaki and Samukawa in September 1921.
Next, the railroad was extended to Kurami in April 1926, to Atsugi in July of the same year, and to Hashimoto in April 1931.
On the Sagami Line, Kurami Station still uses the original building that opened in 1926 and is the oldest of the existing Sagami Line stations.
Since it was right after the Great Kanto Earthquake on September 1, 1923, it was made of reinforced concrete to prepare for earthquakes and fires.
It is said that it was innovative building at the time.
