Graves of the Kajiwara Clan and Their Families (Seven Warriors)

Legends: Graves of the Kajiwara Clan and Their Families (Seven Warriors)
This group of masonry has the following legend.
In January 1200, the family and retainers of Kagetoki KAJIWARA left Ichinomiya Castle for Kyoto and were killed in the battle at Kiyomigaseki (Shimizu-ku Shizuoka-shi city).
It is said that the family and vassals who were rusuiyaku of Ichinomiya Castle mourned them.
After the death of Kagetoki and his son in battle, seven vassals who had been hiding in Shinshu to protect Kagetoki's wife submitted a petition to Kamakura for the Kajiwara clan's reinstatement and Shoryo Ando (act of providing authorization for land ownership and guaranteeing feudal tenure), seeing that social conditions had changed.
However, it was not allowed and there is a theory that Shichishi(Seven Warriors) killed himself on the spot and enshrined it.
Furthermore, the waterway behind is said to be a trace of the inner moat at that time.
